Why We Are Building a Global Storytelling Network
為什麼我們正在建立一個全球故事網絡

Over the past several years, we have worked with children, families, elders, educators, artists, and communities in different places.
在過去幾年裡，我們與許多孩子、家庭、長者、教育工作者、藝術家以及不同社群一起工作。
Wherever we went, we noticed something remarkably similar:
而無論走到哪裡，我們都看見一件相似的事情：
Everyone carries a story.
But not every story has the opportunity to be heard.
每個人都有自己的故事。
但並不是每一個故事，都有機會被聽見。
Some stories live in the fading memories of elders.
Some are hidden inside a child’s drawing.
Others exist quietly between generations, cultures, languages, and communities.
有些故事存在於長者逐漸模糊的記憶裡。
有些故事藏在孩子的畫筆之中。
還有一些故事，靜靜地存在於不同世代、文化、語言與社群之間。
When these stories are shared, something powerful happens.
而當這些故事被分享出來時，往往會產生意想不到的力量。
Children begin to understand their families.
Communities rediscover their cultural roots.
People from different backgrounds find common experiences and shared humanity.

In a rapidly changing world, we believe people need more than information.
They need meaningful opportunities to understand one another.
And stories remain one of the most powerful bridges we have.

人們更需要理解彼此的機會。

Through art, storytelling, and cultural exchange, we hope to help people understand where they come from, reconnect with their cultural identities, and discover their place in a connected world.

透過藝術、生命敘事與文化交流，我們希望幫助人們理解自己的來處，重新連結自己的文化認同，並在彼此的故事中找到與世界的連結。

2.Empowering Children Through Art 透過藝術陪伴孩子成長

We work with children from diverse backgrounds, including those whose voices are often overlooked.

Through picture books, visual storytelling, and creative expression, we help young people discover their strengths and share their unique perspectives.

我們陪伴來自不同背景的孩子，特別是那些較少被看見、較少被理解的孩子。

透過繪本創作、視覺敘事與藝術表達，幫助他們發現自己的力量，並勇敢分享自己的生命故事。

3.Preserving Cultural Memory 保存文化記憶

Every family, community, and culture holds valuable memories.

These memories are not only records of the past—they are guides that help future generations understand who they are.

每一個家庭、社區與文化都擁有珍貴的記憶。

這些記憶不只是過去的紀錄，更是未來世代理解自己從何而來的重要線索。

Beginning in Taiwan, Connecting the World 從臺灣出發，連結世界

Although our work begins in Taiwan, the questions we care about are universal.

How do people maintain cultural identity while embracing change?

How do different generations learn from one another?

How do communities build understanding across cultures?

雖然我們的工作從臺灣開始，但我們關心的問題其實存在於世界各地。

人們如何在變遷中保有文化認同？

不同世代如何重新建立對話？

不同文化如何彼此理解與尊重？

These are not local questions.

They are global questions.

這些不只是地方性的課題。

而是全球共同面對的課題。

We are not simply building an organization.

We are building connections.

我們不只是想成立一個組織。

我們更希望建立一個彼此連結的網絡。

We hope to collaborate with educators, artists, researchers, museums, cultural organizations, Indigenous communities, immigrant communities, and anyone who believes stories can create understanding.

我們期待與教育工作者、藝術家、研究者、博物館、文化機構、原住民族社群、移民社群，以及所有相信故事能創造理解的人共同合作。
